What is ISFiT?
From 11 to 21 February 2027, ISFiT will transform Trondheim into a global meeting place for students, ideas, and cultural exchange.
Founded in 1990, ISFiT is the world's largest international student festival. Every two years, students from across the world come together to explore important global issues through dialogue, workshops, debates, art, and music. The festival creates space for new perspectives, meaningful connections, and conversations across cultures.
The theme for ISFiT 2027 is Changing Winds, an invitation to reflect on a world shaped by political change, climate challenges, and shifting global realities, and on the role young people play in shaping the future.
Applications for ISFiT 2027 open on June 7, 2026.
The application portal will be available through our website and remain open until August 2, 2026.
ISFiT 2027 will bring together 350 participants from around the world. Students from all countries and fields of study are welcome to apply.
Participation in the festival is free of charge. Applicants may also apply for financial aid for travel costs, helping ensure that students from diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to take part.
In the application, you will be asked to share information about yourself, your interests, and your motivation for participating.
