ISFiT is a student festival that began in 1990. It is the biggest festival of its kind in the world, and this time it is held in February 2019 in Trondheim, Norway.
“We are pleased that we had the opportunity to host guests such as Dalai Lama, Chai Ling, Gro Harlem Brundtland, and Nobel laureates such as Wangari Maathai, Desmond Tutu, Betty Williams and many others.“
Each festival is organized under a unique topic-message, and the theme of this festival is “Migration“.
The festival aims to develop and promote democracy, human rights and peace, and how students can contribute themselves as leaders of change.
“This year for dialogue we chose Balkans as one of the focus areas. Students from these areas will be selected as participants in a dialogue seminar together with students from Colombia and Ukraine, “- says Elias Mohammed Elfarri.
The seminar will deal on how dialogue can be used as a means of resolving conflicts. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by ISFiT.
These events also provide a unique opportunity for young people to learn Norwegian culture, language and tradition, as well as other students from all over the world.
“We are currently traveling from 17.10. until 24.10.2018. throughout the Balkans to make interviews and talk with students who want to participate in this event. “- says Elias.
“We were pleased to meet and collaborate with the Association “Zdravi Team” and Zdravi Portal that gave us our offices for the purpose of conducting interviews,” said organizers of ISFiT.
“We sincerely hope that we will meet many candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina while we are still in Sarajevo!” – adds Elias Mohammed Elfarri member of the organizational team.
